The NGO Fund: € 2 million
The Bulgarian NGO Fund was launched in July 2008, and has the folllowing priority areas:
- Environmental protection and sustainable development
- Provision and development of social services
- Development of civil society
- Protection of human rights

Cohesion funding for Bulgaria
The agreement to include Bulgaria and Romania in the European Economic Area (EEA) were signed on 25 July this year. Norway will make available a total of € 20.2 million to projects contributing to social and economic development in the two new member states. Half of the sum will be channeled through the EEA Financial Mechanism, the other half through a newly established bilateral cooperation programme between Norway, Romania and Bulgaria. The Norwegian Cooperation Programmes are administered by Innovation Norway.

Partnership projects
The bilateral cooperation programme will be based on partnership projects between actors from Norway and the two beneficiary states. Prioritised sectors include energy, environment and climate, and sustainable business processes.
